FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes introduction of dispersed particles of carbide tungsten in the casting mould, rotation of the casting mould at a 800 Rpm rate, at which the uniform particle distribution is carried out over the entire surface of the mould, and pouring steel melt into the mould. After solidification of the melt, the casting having outer layer of carbide-reinforced tungsten is removed.
EFFECT: steel thin-walled tube blanks have high hardness and wear resistance.
