FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: first invention is a medical implant having an outer surface containing a hydrophobic thermoplastic resin having aluminosilicate particles included therein, the said aluminosilicate particles being type A zeolites or type X zeolites lacking antimicrobial metal ions and present in the said resin in an amount of 0.5-10 wt %. The second invention is a method for imparting hydrophility and a negative charge to the outer surface of the implant, comprising provision of hydrophobic thermoplastic resin with included aluminosilicate particles and formation of an implant from the said thermoplastic resin.
EFFECT: implementation of the invention allows to minimize or eliminate biofilms formation on implants.
