FIELD: lighting engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in LEDs. Hydroxides of yttrium, cerium, gallium and aluminum are mixed. Prepared mixture is ground. Then annealing at 600–800 °C is carried out for 3–4 hours. Barium fluoride, pre-ground to an average diameter of 5 mcm, and ammonium chloride in the amount of 4–5 % of the total mass of oxides are added to obtained mixture of oxides. Mixture is ground on a roller mill for 12 hours and calcined in forming gas at 1,500–1,600 °C. To obtain phosphor with an average particle size of 4–8 mcm, calcination is carried out for 4–8 hours. To obtain phosphor with an average particle size of 14–17 mcm, calcination is carried out for 8–12 hours. Fine-grained luminescent material of yellow and green emission color for creating the resulting white light in the LEDs.
EFFECT: technical result is a decreased duration of the process, increased crystallinity and ramming density of the resulting phosphor and, as a result, increased luminescence brightness.
