SUBSTANCE: cartridge for using in the aerosol-generating system comprises: the elongated first compartment, having the length_L1 and the maximum area of the_cross section A₁. The first compartment has the first air inlet and the first air outlet and comprises the nicotine source, containing the first carrier material, filled with nicotine in the amount of from about 1 milligram upto about 50 milligrams; and the elongated second compartment, having the length L₂and the maximum area of the cross section A₂. The second compartment has the second air inlet and the second air outlet and contains the acid source. The first compartment and the second compartment are located in parallel in the cartridge. The ratio (L₁)²:A₁ is at least about 12:1 and the ratio (L₂⁾²:A₂ is at least about 12:1.

EFFECT: creation the system, generating the aerosol, which enables you to evenly heat the nicotine source and the acid source, promotes allocation of the nicotine vapor from the nicotine source and acid vapors from the acid source, allows to achieve more stable aerosol generation at different stages of the system use, generating the aerosol.
