FIELD: bio technologies.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to novel DNA aptamers capable of strongly and specifically binding to gelsolin. In addition, invention relates to the use of these aptamers to assess the level of gelsolin in a given sample and to purify unlabeled gelsolin and its analogues in large amount. Thus, the present invention excludes the use of different animals or their tissues to produce proteins that bind gelsolin, which is much more costly and socially unacceptable than the DNA molecule synthesis using PCR in vitro. Using this strategy, mass production of the gelsolin-binding matrix can be carried out at a much lower cost. In addition, aptamers can be used to block the gelsolin binding to its partners for binding for diagnostic and / or therapeutic purposes.
EFFECT: proposed are new DNA aptamers, capable of strong and specific binding to gelsolin.
