FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for production of fibrillated cellulose material includes fibrillation of the cellulose-based feedstock with the enzyme (s) and fibrillation enhancement by mechanical stirring, before fibrillation, the cellulose-based feedstock is added to the suspension, thus containing, after addition, the cellulose-based feedstock with a consistency of 10% to 60%. After that fibrillation is performed using an enzymatic mixture exhibiting mainly cellobiohydrolase activity and low endoglucanase activity. Endoglucanase activity is enough for creation of new terminal groups of the chain in combination with mechanical stirring without comminuting effect. And at that, fibrillation is carried out in two stages by selective control of the reaction temperature. In the first step, a reaction temperature is selected that allows both cellobiohydrolase and endoglucanase to be active, and in the second step, inactivates the endoglucanase activity by increasing the reaction temperature.
