FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and aims at analysis of objective accommodation reserve and stability. The analysis of reserve and stability of relative accommodation includes measurement of dynamic refraction and accommodation tension by a binocular open-field ref-keratometer. A patient has a standard text #4 from a close table presented for two-eyed reading at the distance 33 cm in absolute far-vision correction. The procedure involves application of negative auxiliary spherical lenses of increase pitch 0.5 dioptres and simultaneous recording the dynamic refraction of each eye. The reserve of relative accommodation conforms the maximal auxiliary glass which provides dynamic refraction of each eye at least -2.5 dioptres while used for reading at the distance 33 cm. With using the same glass the patient continues reading within 3 minutes, then dynamic refraction of each eye is recorded again. The variation thereof enables to estimate stability of relative accommodation.

EFFECT: method ensures to objectify analysis of reserve and stability of relative accommodation of each eye.
