FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to study the objective accommodative response and objective reserves of relative accommodation in patients with anisometropia and amblyopia. First a soft contact lens of optical power is installed on the eye, achieving maximum visual acuity, fixing the gaze on text No. 10 in the table for near, corresponding to visual acuity of 0.1. Then the refraction is determined under conditions of static accommodation, monocularly with binocular fixation, followed by the substitution of negative lenses with increasing power of 0.5 diopters until the difference in the accommodative response with a load of less than 0.75 diopters is maintained.
EFFECT: invention provides objective data on the accommodative response and relative accommodation reserves in patients with anisometropia and ametropia in an amblyopic eye.
