FIELD: thermal power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tail equipment of heat generating installations, and can be used in processes for cleaning waste gases from harmful impurities and utilizing their heat. A complex horizontal multi-stage adsorber contains a heat exchanger with gas and air channels, the walls of which are made of reinforced heat-resistant low-alkali glass, connected to an adsorber consisting of purification stages, which are baskets filled with pumice granules made from metallurgical slags with a basicity modulus M>1 and a diameter of granules from 5 to 10 mm, above each of which there are flushing nozzles perforated from below, connected through shut-off and control devices with a flushing manifold. The heat exchanger and the adsorber connected to it along the gas flow are mounted on supports. The heat exchanger is made of lamellar and consists of a rectangular body provided with an inlet end, two upper and lower pyramidal covers and a bottom with an inlet gas pipe, inlet and outlet air pipes, a condensate drain fitting, respectively, and an end outlet gas window. In the heat exchanger housing there are flat vertical heat exchange baffles made of reinforced low-alkali heat-resistant glass, forming gas channels, plugged from above with strips, and air channels, plugged from below by other strips and separated to the middle by dividing strips. The adsorber consists of a rectangular horizontal body with a pyramidal bottom with a drain fitting, closed at the top with a removable rectangular cover, equipped with an inlet end gas port connected to the outlet gas port of the heat exchanger, and an end pyramidal cap with a purified gas pipe. A horizontal perforated basket is laid inside the case on the supporting corners. Above the basket and below it, vertical upper and lower partitions are installed in a checkerboard pattern, dividing the space in the body, the lid and the layer of granulated blast-furnace slag in the basket at the purification stage.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of a complex horizontal multi-stage adsorber.
