FIELD: medicine; dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to perio dentistry, and can be used in clinical diagnosis of peri-implantitis. To assess paradontium tissue in the area of a dental implant, depth h of the implant-gingival pocket from an abutment point to a marginal gum and depth of H from an abutment point to a denuded implant edge are being determined. Paradontium tissue destruction index (PID) is being determined according to the dependence of the PID = H/h, mild peri-implantitis corresponds to the numerical values of the PID in the range from 0.02 to 0.2, low peri-implantitis corresponds to the numerical values of the PID in the range from 0.3 to 1.0, medium peri-implantitis corresponds to the numerical values of the PID in the range from 1.1 to 3.0.
EFFECT: method provides reduced labor intensity and increased objectivity of examining the degree of paradontium tissue destruction by measuring informative indexes.
