SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in eliminating the inflammatory process in the area of the implant. Ultrasonic cleaning of the pathological pocket and the surface of the implant is carried out using a direct current source with a current in range of 100 microamperes at voltage of 5 volts, wherein the negative electrode is applied to the internal connection of the implant through a metal pin, and the positive electrode is clamped, which has an insulating belt to prevent short circuits during the procedure, on the tip of the ultrasonic apparatus. Electrotherapy session is performed for 3 minutes. Number of sessions varies from two to four depending on the severity of the inflammatory condition with an interval between sessions of 7 days.

EFFECT: due to suppression of activity of microorganisms causing infection, method allows to eliminate inflammatory processes of tissues around implant, to increase efficiency of treatment of peri-implantitis, and also to reduce length of treatment.
