FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used in treatment of osteomyelitis with a bone defect. Method of bone defect closure in the experiment includes grinding the coral of the Asoror family to fragments with size from 98 mcm to 400 mcm. Then, these fragments are incubated with 1.0–1.5 ml of venous blood taken from a rat, by placing in a refrigerator for 12 hours at a temperature of 4 °C. Incubate coral-blood mass fill the bone defect after its treatment with an antiseptic.
EFFECT: method ensures simplification of the filling mass preparation, exclusion of control for biocompatibility, shortening the preparation time of the filling mass for implantation, and improvement of the quality of antibacterial protection.
