SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and namely to traumatology and orthopedics and can be used to treat osteomyelitis of the limb bones with complete segmental defects. After sanitation of the purulent focus, the length of the limb is restored by manual traction of the distal section. The length of the resulting bone defect is measured and an intraoperative prosthesis of the missing bone section is made from cement containing an antibiotic. Then again, using manual traction of the distal end of the limb, the bone defect is maximized and the cement prosthesis is tightly placed. After the formation of tissues around it, it is replaced with an osteogenic bactericidal bone-plastic material and fixed until a full-fledged bone is formed.

EFFECT: method allows for the rehabilitation of the osteomyelitis focus during the entire period of treatment and to restore the continuity of the bone and the length of the limb at the same time due to the combination of techniques of the invention.
