FIELD: pharmaceuticals.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely the use of a means for stimulating the growth of granulocyte and lymphoid cells in the bone marrow. Use of an extract of Saussurea Controversa DC, obtained by three-fold extraction of ground to 3–6 mm Saussurea Controversa leaves with a 40 % aqueous ethanol in a ratio of 1:15 at 80 °C for 60 minutes, removal of the extractant, drying, to stimulate the growth of granulocyte and lymphoid cells in the bone marrow.

EFFECT: agent obtained by the above-described method is effective for stimulating the growth of granulocyte and lymphoid cells in the bone marrow.
