FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: high-intensity focused ultrasound therapy instrument comprises a magnetic resonance imaging system configured to obtain thermal magnetic resonance data from a subject at least partially located in the imaging zone of the magnetic resonance imaging system, a focused high-intensity ultrasound system that has an adjustable focus, a processor to control the high-intensity focused ultrasound system and the magnetic resonance system, a memory to store computer-executable instructions, wherein the execution of the instructions causes the processor to control the high-intensity focused ultrasound system and the magnetic resonance imaging system, repeatedly restore a plurality of thermal maps using the thermal data of magnetic resonance imaging, calculate the heating mass center for each of the plurality of thermal maps to obtain a set of heating mass centers, select several points of ultrasound destruction from a set of multiple ultrasound destruction points for each element of the set of heating mass centers, wherein one or more ultrasound destruction points are selected using a predetermined criterion, determining a spatially dependent guidance correction by comparing each element of the set of heating mass centers with one or more ultrasound destruction points, and controlling the high-intensity focused ultrasound system to shift the adjustable focus by a spatially dependent targeting correction. The tool contains a machine-readable medium. The method for medical instrument control is implemented when it is used.
EFFECT: invention can be used to prevent the heating point from shifting from the focal point of the ultrasonic beam.
