FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: high-intensity focused ultrasonic medical instrument comprises a high-intensity focused ultrasonic system comprising an ultrasonic transducer comprising a plurality of elements and configured to turn on and turn off the power supply to each of the plurality of the transducer elements, a processor to control the medical instrument, a memory containing the computer-executable instructions that cause the processor to make a treatment plan defining the protected area within the subject's body, to calculate a set of the control parameters by the converter using the treatment plan so that the estimated value of ultrasonic radiation intensity in the protected area is below the predetermined threshold value. The set of the control parameters by the converter defines electrical connection to each of the plurality of the transducer elements, wherein the estimated value of the ultrasonic radiation intensity is calculated using a non-coherent sum of the ultrasonic pressure generated by each of the plurality of transducer elements. The computer program product is stored in the computer readable medium, comprising the computer instructions for execution by the processor controlling with the high-intensity focused ultrasonic medical instrument for the instrument control method.
EFFECT: using the inventions allows to predict the location of the unintentional heating zones.
