SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for explosion protection of process equipment. In the method for determining the effectiveness of an explosion-proof device in a test mock-up of an explosive object, a mock-up of an explosive object is installed in the test box, and on its internal and external perimeters video cameras for video surveillance are set, wherein video cameras are made in explosion-proof version, and the outputs from the video cameras through the inner cavity of spacers are connected to the unit through which the recording and registering of the process of changing of the technological parameters in the mock-up are performed, then registering by means of system analyzers recorded processes waveforms, change of explosive object process parameters in the mock-up of the explosive object, and in the mock-up ceiling part opening is made, which is closed by explosion-proof element freely installed on three resilient pins, one end of each of which is rigidly fixed in the ceiling of the mock-up, and on the second a horizontal crossbar is fixed, between the explosive fission element and the opening, a three-coordinate pressure sensor is installed in the explosion-proof design, the output of which is connected to the input of the recording and registering equipment unit, and at both sides of pressure transmitter temperature and humidity sensors are installed, controlling temperature and humidity conditions in model, which outputs are also connected to recording and registering equipment unit input, and the inner and outer surfaces of the fencings of the mock-up are pasted with strain indicators, which outputs are also connected to the input of the recording and registering equipment unit, after processing of the obtained experimental data, an information database on the development of an emergency situation in an accident in an explosive atmosphere is developed and a mathematical model is created to forecast prevention of the emergency in case of an accident on the explosive object.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of process equipment protection against explosions by increasing the efficiency and reliability of bursting elements’ response.
