SUBSTANCE: invention relates to textile machinery, namely to noise mufflers of a textile waste treatment system. Muffler contains a body, coaxial with the inlet and outlet nozzles and a resonant insert installed coaxially with the housing, the housing and the resonance insert are coaxially arranged and have an equidistant circular or polyhedral profile, and the resonant insert along the edges is provided with a diffuser and a confuser with perforated disks rigidly attached to them, and in the middle of the resonance insert a rib is installed in the form of a solid partition separating the resonant, insert into two chambers, the sound-absorbing element, with which the resonant insert is lined outside, is made in the form of a rigid and perforated wall, between which there is a multi-layer sound-absorbing element, which is made in the form of two layers: one of which, adjacent to the rigid wall, is sound-absorbing, and the other, that adjacent to the perforated wall, is made with a perforation from a sound-reflecting material of a complex profile consisting of uniformly distributed hollow tetrahedra, while a material based on aluminum-containing alloys is used as a sound-reflecting material, followed by filling with titanium hydride or air with a density within 0.5…0.9 kg/m³ with the following strength properties: compressive strength within 5…10 MPa, bending strength within 10…20 MPa, for example foamed aluminum, or soundproofing plates based on a glass staple fiber of the type "Shumostop" with a material density of 60÷80 kg/m³, or a material based on a magnesia binder with reinforcing fiberglass or glasscanvas.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
