SUBSTANCE: device for reducing the contaminant impact is used with a device for adjusting the clearance of the brake system of a means for protecting the critical working area of the clearance adjustment device. The critical working area includes components made with the possibility of joint work to adjust the braking system. The clearance adjustment device includes a main part of the casing, a part of a conical nut casing, covering the critical working area of the clearance adjustment device, and a part of the overtravel casing. The device for reducing the contaminant impact includes a sealing system made with the possibility of interaction with at least one of the main casing part, the part of the conical nut casing and the part of the overtravel casing for sealing the critical working area from entering fluid and/or contaminants therein, and/or for reducing the impact of the fluid and/or contaminants on this area.
EFFECT: improved protection against contaminants.
