FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: drain system for use with wear compensator for railway brake linkage, wherein wear compensator includes main spring housing, case of conical nut containing critical working zone of wear compensator, and overrun housing. Drainage system includes at least one opening extending through main spring case side wall section. Aperture is configured to allow draining of the fluid and/or contaminants therethrough to reduce the effect on the critical working zone of the fluid medium and/or contaminant wear compensator. At the intersection of the main body of the spring and case of the tapered nut there can be provided a seal/mud protection to prevent penetration of fluid medium and contaminants into the conical nut body.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of drain system for prevention of water accumulation and protection of critical working area from contaminants, which is adapted to all wear compensators, which are used in wide range of environmental conditions.
