SUBSTANCE: generator for production of thawed drinking water includes serially arranged in one longitudinal vessel: a zone of water freezing with circular freezing chamber, a zone for displacement of impurities from ice front and concentration of impurities in the form of brine, a zone of water transfer from solid state to liquid with annular heating element, a separate branch pipes for withdrawal of impurities in the form of brine and melted drinking water, positioned in lower part of vessel, as well as disconnecting device in the form of tube with annular cutting part. The tube is mounted movably in direction of longitudinal vessel axis in the sliding bearings located in the lower part of the longitudinal vessel, the valves are installed in branch pipes for withdrawing impurities and thawed drinking water in the form of taps. The tube is rotatably mounted by means of gearing equipped with an electromechanical drive characterized in that the gearing is formed by a gear rigidly fixed in the lower part of the tube. The gear is in contact with the longitudinal gear with teeth, which length exceeds the length of the tube travel in the direction of the longitudinal axis.
