SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the woodworking, particularly, to the processing semi-finished products from wood logs. Device comprises a processing unit, measuring device and transporting unit. Measuring device has at least three measuring planes arranged one after another. Measuring device in the transporting direction may be located behind the processing unit, that during the transportation of the semi-finished product through the measuring device, a measurement is already made on the front end of the semi-finished product in the direction of transportation, while the rear end of the semi-finished product is still being processed by processing unit. Measuring device in the transporting direction may be located in front of the processing unit, that during the transportation of the semi-finished product through the measuring device to the rear in the transportation direction the end of the semi-finished product is still being measured, at the front end of the semi-finished product, processing is already performed by the processing unit.
EFFECT: increases the accuracy of the determination of the curvature of wood logs.
