FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises a cylindrical shell equipped with alternating flat and curved partitions with windows in the longitudinal symmetry axis direction. The windows in the curved partitions are made conjugated with the longitudinal symmetry axis of the chamber. The partitions are equipped with an abrasive coating. The curved partitions, made in the form of circle arcs of an elastic material, are rigidly fixed only at the contact area with the shell of the working chamber. The device bottom is equipped with abrasive pads alternating with portions with no abrasive in the form of circle segments with the center on the symmetry axis of the working chamber and arcs coinciding with the outer bottom edge. Their lengths make 1/32-1/36 of the bottom-limiting circle length. As the distance from the center increases, the size of the abrasive grains in the coating increases from 160 mcm to 600 mcm.

EFFECT: invention usage will allow to improve the peeling quality of vegetables and root crops.
