FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cleaning vegetables and root crops. Apparatus comprises a frame, drive drum with the brushes on the inner surface and fixed in the cavity of the drum parallel to the axis of rotation of the additional brush, each of which is formed by the flexible member. Drum is made in the form of a cylinder with a bottom, which is fixed by means of splined shaft, supported by bearings located in the racks, is fixedly attached to the frame. Shaft is rotated by the motor through a chain transmission. On the inner cylindrical surface of the drum and at its bottom arranged brush tufts formed from resilient metal wire. On the inner cylindrical surface of the brush are arranged uniformly in rows, the direction of which coincides with the generatrix of the drum. Direction of each brush is parallel to the radius of the bottom of the drum. Brushes in adjacent rows are offset from each other. On the bottom of the drum brush uniformly arranged in rows, which coincide with the direction of its radius. Additional brush rotatably the opposite side of the drum. Between the last and drum brushes have a work gap.
EFFECT: use of the invention will improve the quality of cleaning of root crops.
