METHOD OF SCLEROZING FORMATIONS OF BLOOD VESSELS IN THE EYELID AREA Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F9/07 A61P41/00 A61K31/45

Abstract RU 2646587 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology, cosmetology, maxillofacial and plastic surgery. For sclerosing therapy of telangiectasias, hyperplasia of blood vessels, vascular malformations and hemangiomas in the eyelid region, installation of metal structures is performed to create compression of the desired level. At the same time, final clamp consisting of two branches is used as the metal structure, one of which ends with a solid platform, and the other is made with window and fixing device installed transversely to the jaws. Final clamp with open jaws is set on the eyelid in such a way that the vascular formation is inside the final jaw. Jaw with a solid platform is placed opposite to vascular formation of the surface of the eyelid. Next, eyelid is held by final clamp, closing the jaws, and fixing them with each other, carrying out the compression of the tissues of the eyelid until the blood flow in the vascular formation stops. Then sclerotherapy of vascular formation is carried out by slow administration of the sclerosing substance with an insulin syringe in an amount not exceeding 1.0 ml, infiltrating the vascular formation from the periphery to the center until it is whitened. Final clamp is removed 15–20 min after the end of the sclerosing agent administration. On the sclerosing zone, an aseptic bandage is applied.

EFFECT: method allows to reduce traumatism due to the prevention of bleeding during sclerosing and to reduce the amount of sclerosing agent due to the limitation of the main blood flow in the vascular formation, and also to eliminate the risk of ischemia and necroticization of healthy tissues in the postoperative period by reducing the exposure of the compression effect.
