SUBSTANCE: collecting samples for soil analysis on the coastal floodplain. The method includes determining the site of soil sampling, indicating the coordinates of soil sampling points. The coordinate grid is taken along the line of the edge of the water surface of a small river with a nonlinear coordinate along the river. Cross casements of measurements on this coordinate grid feature perpendicular to a line of edge of water surface line of the small river, on the casements of measurements at each site in its center at least one soil sampling point is placed. Sampling points for soil analysis at each measurement site are located at a distance of at least 10 m in an amount of not less than 10 pieces to the boundary of the water protection zone of the small river, and then the distance and height from the water line to the second and subsequent sampling points is refined along the edge line of the water surface of the small river.

EFFECT: expansion of functionality and increasing the accuracy of determining the properties of soil in the coastal landscape within the water protection zone of the small river in the study of the relief of agricultural land located near the water protection zone of the small river.
