FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of agriculture, in particular to vegetable growing, namely to the method of planting onion vegetables. Method provides for covering in the beginning of summer of the place of future planting in the form of the bed of mulches with the layer of 30÷40 cm, as which straw is used, and/or mown grass, and/or leaf litter, and/or sawdust, and/or weakly decomposed compost. Mulch is watered at the top with liquid organic fertilizer in the form of grass and manure from the calculation of 20÷30 l/m2 and covered with black non-woven cover material or black polyethylene film. During the formation of a stable snow cover, snow and covering material or film are removed from the bed, the holes are formed in the mulch up to the surface of the soil and 1÷2 tablespoons of sand mixed with ash in a ratio of 5:1 are poured into each hole. Next, in each hole, the planting of the clove of garlic or onion is planted with the stem downwards until it contacts with the mixture of sand and ash. Above, the hole is covered with the upper layer of mulch, and then the bed is covered with snow with the layer of at least 30 cm.
EFFECT: method provides for increased yields, reduced labor costs for caring for cultivated crops, improved soil fertility.
