FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method of measuring the magnetic moment of single-domain ferromagnetic nanoparticles by placing nanoparticles to a homogeneous magnetic field contains steps in which a beam of infrared electromagnetic radiation with a varying wavelength is passed through a solution of nanoparticles λ and the resonant wavelength of this λres radiation is measured, at which the absorption line of the radiation energy is occured when a magnetic field with an induction B is applied to the solution, and the magnetic moment of the nanoparticles P is found from the formula: P=(hc/2Wλres), where h is the constant Planck, c is the speed of light.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of determining the magnetic moment of nanoparticles.
