FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for distributing at least one wire within a housing. Device comprises a central hub, from which extends at least one wire, and at least one arm extending from the central hub towards the housing. At least one arm houses at least one wire. Housing may be a tube having a larger diameter than the central hub. At least one arm may comprise a pair of arms. Pair of arms may describe a Y shape. Device may be formed from a first part and a second part. First part and second part may both provide a portion of the at least one arm. First part and the second part may both provide a portion of the hub. Also disclosed is a hand held appliance comprising a tube defining a fluid flow path from a fluid inlet into the tube to a fluid outlet from the tube and a device for distributing at least one wire to the tube.
EFFECT: lower probability of twisting of wires and axial strength at any forces applied to the cable, and reduced turbulence created by the arms in the fluid flow path, which minimises pressure and noise losses.
