FIELD: electric power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: use in electric power engineering. Half-sets of microprocessor protection synchronously detect currents and voltages on both sides of the line, and the fiber-optic communication channel transmits information from one set to the other. Detected readings of currents and voltages are converted into complexes and further into measurements, which are perceived by two types of detecting modules – the blocking and permitting modules. Modules have complex planes for displaying measurements both during training and the subsequent operation of relay protection on a real object. Transmitting model of an intact line is used to perform measurements; such model is a multi-terminal in the reverse transfer mode. Input values of the transmitting model are the currents and voltages of the beginning of the line, the output values are model currents and voltages that measure the corresponding quantities at the second end of the supposedly intact line. Principle of multidimensional relay protection is implemented. Main measurement is the measurement of the current, additional measurement – voltage. Network simulation model trains the blocking modules using the signals of those modes in which the line is not damaged, and the permitting modules – using the short-circuit modes in the line. Result of such training is the areas of blocking and triggering.
EFFECT: simplified method and increased sensitivity of protection.
