METHOD FOR RECOGNITION OF FAULTY PHASES OF ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION LINES IN OPEN-PHASE EARTH SHORT-CIRCUIT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01R31/08

Abstract RU 2642506 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of recognition of faulty phases of electric transmission lines in open-phase earth short-circuit includes steps of monitoring currents and voltages in the beginning of the line, converting them into integrated measurements, displaying each measurement in an integrated plane of the corresponding recognition unit, training recognition units with the help of simulation models of the electric transmission line, reproducing different types of short circuits. To achieve a technical result, phase and phase-to-phase measurements are formed. Each phase measurement is applied to a number of recognition units, which is equal to the number of different types of short circuits, one unit per type. Each phase-to-phase measurement is applied to a number of recognition units, which is equal to the number of different types of two-phase short-circuits. Each unit is trained to recognize one of the types of short-circuits. The units, related to the same type of short circuit, are combined according to the AND scheme into a common unit that recognizes the short circuit of this type. Out of all the units two groups - blocking and permitting - are composed for each phase of the electric transmission line. The blocking group collects common units of those types of short circuits in which this phase is not faulty, and in the permitting group - common units of other types of short circuits in which this phase is faulty. Further, a short circuit is acknowledged in this phase, provided that none of the common units of the blocking group has responded and at least one of the common units of the permitting group has responded. Also, a transmitting model of the unfaulty electric transmission line is used. It converts the monitored currents and voltages in the beginning of the line to the voltages in the end of the line and define the measurements as relations of similar voltages at the output and input of the transmitting model.

EFFECT: simplification and enhancement of the recognition ability of the method of phase selection.
