FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to block foam glass metallization. Method of block foam glass metallization includes preliminary application of an intermediate layer on the front surface of the material, intermediate layer being applied from a paste consisting of a mixture of epoxy resin and nonmetallurgical alumina in a weight ratio of 1:4. Then, a layer of nonmetallurgical alumina is blown with subsequent plasma spraying of metals or alloys with a working power of a plasma torch of 3–5 kW and a plasma-forming gas flow of 0.45 m3/h.
EFFECT: upgraded adhesion strength of the coating to the surface of the foam glass.
