FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the development of new ceramic rare-earth oxide materials with a magnetic spin glass state and can be applied in the chemical industry and electronic engineering, in particular, for the development of models of new types of magnetic memory devices. Spin-glass magnetic material YbFeTi2O7 includes iron, titanium, oxygen and ytterbium with the following component ratio, at%: ytterbium 9.09; iron – 9.09; titanium – 18.18; oxygen – 63.64. Method for producing the ytterbium-containing spin-glass material includes the preparation of a charge of oxides Fe2O3, Yb2O3 and TiO2, molding of tablets and their sintering in four stages with a maximum annealing temperature of 1,250 °C.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the production of a new magnetic material with a state of spin glass and containing a rare-earth element with low values of a capture cross-section and resistivity.
