METHOD OF UNLIMITED LENGTH AND WIDTH GEOWEB MANUFACTURING Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC E01C5/20

Abstract RU 2647552 C1

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of bulk geowebs of unlimited length and width, used in the construction of long-distance facilities (roads and railways), large areas (airfields, stadiums, parking lots for cars), as well as objects of landscape construction. Method of manufacturing a geoweb of unlimited length includes the preliminary preparation of the sections of the package, during which the strips of each section are stacked one on top of another and are joined in a transverse direction by weld seams in a staggered manner. Protruding ends of the strips of adjacent sections are stacked one after the other in succession by a pairwise release of pre-bent upwardly-connecting ends, and the upward bending of the connecting ends of the strips is carried out by an angle allowing the device for connecting the ends of the geoweb bars to be freely installed between the bent ends. Displacement of the pairwise strips along the length relative to each other is performed corresponding to the length of the portion on which the protruding ends of the strips are joined, and the overlapping joint is performed by ultrasonic welding, or by thermo-contact welding, or by gluing, or by stitching/threading. For the manufacture of a geoweb of unlimited length and width of a section of a package, the bend is pressed against the line of the last welded seam before the bend, the length of the free ends of the strips being at least two steps of welding the sections of the package. Displacement of the pairwise strips along the length relative to each other is carried out by cutting in the horizontal plane of each strip in the transverse direction, thereby forming a junction joint of the pair strips. Length of the displacement of the pairs of strips at the point of formation of their joint is equal to the width of the welded section of the package.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of the reliability of joining the geogrid blocks while improving its strength characteristics.
