FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in the rehabilitation treatment of post-traumatic ankle joint contraction after fractures of the shin bones. For this purpose, the methods of therapeutic physical training, manual classical medical massage and hardware massage are consistently conducted. In each treatment session, a hardware massage of the patient's lower extremities is performed using the "Rehabilitation electronic-mechanical processor" apparatus for two treatment periods (I) and (II), 12 days each, with a 3–5-day break between them, herewith each period comprises two half-periods (a) and (b). Modes of the apparatus operation include horizontal oscillatory movements with the frequency of 130 oscillations per minute in half-period I(a), with the frequency of 160 oscillations per minute in half-period I(b) and with the frequency of 190 oscillations per minute in period (II). Apparatus pneumocompression system operates at the maximum pressure of 50 mm Hg and the minimum pressure of 10 mm Hg in half-period I(a), at the maximum pressure of 60 mm Hg and the minimum pressure of 20 mm Hg in half-periods I(b) and II(a), at the maximum pressure of 85 mm Hg and the minimum pressure of 30 mm Hg in half-period II(b). In second period (II), the vibratory action is additionally used with the aid of a vibration element of the apparatus in mode No. 1 in half-period II(a) at the frequency of 1800 rpm with the amplitude of 2 mm and in mode No. 2 in half-period II(b) at the frequency of 2100 rpm with the amplitude of 2 mm. Total time of the procedures on the apparatus is 7 minutes since day 1 to day 7 of half-period I(a), 15 minutes since day 8 to day 12 of half-period I(b) and 15 minutes since day 1 to day 12 of period (II). At the end of each treatment session, the methods of manual therapy of the shin and ankle joint muscles are performed, including post-isometric relaxation and reciprocal inhibition to an increase in the motion volume in the joint. Specified procedures on the apparatus and the methods of manual therapy are carried out in the horizontal position of the patient until the contracture is eliminated.
EFFECT: method ensures the most rapid elimination of contracture in the postimmobilization period after the formation of the callus due to creating a synergistic effect because of multidirectional effects.
