FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to secondary air intake system for internal combustion engine. Embodiments are provided for warming up exhaust emission control device. In one example, the method for a turbocharged engine includes the steps of: upon a cold start of the engine, the charge air from the downstream side of the compressor is delivered to a turbocharger pressure regulator channel connected through a turbine and an exothermic reaction of the charge-air-reducing reductor upstream of the exhaust emission control device. Thus, the charge air can be used to initiate an exothermic reaction to heat the device.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement in efficiency.
