FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: methods for correcting measurements of oxygen sensor at the inlet of internal combustion engine (ICE) are proposed, which imply correction of oxygen concentration measured by the oxygen sensor at the inlet based on blowing of fuel tank vapours only under conditions with supercharging and adjustment of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) at the inlet in response to adjusted oxygen concentration at the inlet. By means of proposed methods for adjustment, the distortion of readings of the oxygen sensor at the inlet caused by fuel vapours blown on the inlet which may cause insufficient supply of EGR to the inlet is eliminated.
EFFECT: optimisation of working mixture supplied to the internal combustion engine and improvement of the operating characteristics of the internal combustion engine.
