FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a sensor with electrostatic pendular accelerometer and method of controlling this sensor. Accelerometer sensor comprises at least one electrostatic pendular accelerometer having the first and second stationary electrodes fixed to the housing and connected to an excitation circuit, and the third electrode mounted on a pendulum connected to the housing, thereby movable and coupled to the detector circuit. Excitation circuit has an output connected to a switch connected to the first and second electrodes, wherein the switch has the first connection position and the second connection position for selectively connecting the first and second electrodes to the excitation circuit, wherein the excitation circuit, switch and detector circuit are connected to control circuit configured in such a way that the first and second electrodes are excited by pulses, thus keeping the pendulum in the set position and determining acceleration to which the pendulum is subjected.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination of acceleration.
