FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vulcanizable rubber composition comprising steel and an aminoalkoxy-modified silsesquioxane (AMS), which comprises one or more compounds, selected from the group consisting of amino AMS, amino/mercaptan co-AMS, amino/blocked mercaptosilane co-AMS, and mixtures thereof, and is used to coat a metallized or nonmetallic metal wire to ensure that the wire adheres to the rubber compound. Amino AMS and/or amino/mercaptan co-AMS adhesives are used with all types of rubber, and no addition of special adhesion additives to rubber vulcanizates is required, such as, but not limited to cobalt, resins and a large amount of sulfur. Invention makes it possible to improve the adhesion properties of the reinforcement to obtain a satisfactory binding that is resistant to degradation over time, especially to thermal and/or thermal oxidative aging and to corrosion in the presence of water. Cured rubber compositions of the invention that contain amino AMS and/or amino/mercaptan co-AMS compounds also have improved adhesion to embedded uncoated steel after moisture aging.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the adhesion properties of the reinforcement to obtain a satisfactory binding that is resistant to degradation over time.
