SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a stop valve, particularly to a ball valve with a closure for controlling and closing the flow of a working fluid. Ball valve includes a body with longitudinal and transverse axes, nipples fixed to the body and extending along the longitudinal axis of the body from its two sides, a bolt with a through hole, mounted in the housing and rotatable about the transverse axis of the housing, the support member, installed between the nozzle and the bolt on each side of the body, and a seat positioned to interact with the support member and with the closure. Support member has a part for mounting on a pipe that does not substantially change its cross-section, and a part for accommodating said seat, made in the form of an outwardly expanding spring part to compensate for the temperature expansion of the ball valve elements.

EFFECT: use of the invention increases reliability of the equipment and prolongs the service life of the apparatus.
