SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by performing a wideband reception of orthogonal electromagnetic field components, which allows to record ionospheric waves at the receiving point separately and accurately determine the angular position of the falling front of each of them, by eliminating multipath errors caused by interference of electromagnetic waves reflected many times from the ionosphere.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of ionospheric wave front position measurement.
