FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to magnetohydrodynamics, and can be used in metallurgy, in nuclear and nonconventional power engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, and also in space industry. Method of the working fluid supplying to the MHD generator consists in passing of the working fluid flow through the working chamber channel between the opposite poles of the magnets. Walls of the working chamber channel for flow passing are made in the form of electrodes. Channel itself is positioned at an angle to the magnetic field lines formed by the poles of the magnets. Angle α value is determined from relation , where δ is the magnetic system air gap value, l is the distance between the electrodes. Working chamber parameters are chosen from the condition of ensuring the deceleration radiation ultraviolet range. Working surfaces of the electrodes are made of heavy non-ferromagnetic metals. Channel can be made in the form of several interconnected single channels. In each channel, the flow direction is reversed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing of the efficiency and simplifying the design.
