FIELD: pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely to a method for producing individual carotenoids from natural sources, such as plant raw materials, hydrobionts. Method for producing individual carotenoids from natural sources, such as plant raw materials, hydrobionts, by liquid extraction, followed by separation of carotenoids by column chromatography with sorbent – aluminum oxide, while using liquid extraction of natural sources one of the solvents is used: ethyl alcohol 96 %, acetone, chloroform, hexane, the hydro module is maintained 1:5, the extraction rate is 3, primary extract is treated with a solution of sodium bicarbonate with a concentration of 4 % to 10 %, washed until neutral reaction of the medium, the extracts are combined, excess solvents are removed, the resulting dry extract is dissolved in n-hexane, fractionation of the individual carotenoids is carried out by column chromatography, additionally by using a second sorbent - magnesium oxide and the following eluents: petroleum ether, diethyl ether, acetone, ethyl alcohol 96 %.
EFFECT: above method does not require complicated and expensive technical equipment, it allows efficiently to obtain individual carotenoids from plant material, hydrobionts.
