FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of safety precautions of road users and can be used to prevent the driver from falling asleep while driving on the roads at night. Device for preventing the driver from falling asleep contains light sources and an ambient light sensors. Light sources are connected to the control device thereof located in the engine compartment of a vehicle. Ambient light sensor is connected to the vehicle control unit which is connected to the light source control device. Light sources are installed on the front of the vehicle in such a way that their luminous flux is directed towards the road zone visible to the driver in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle and are made impulsive.
EFFECT: increase in the driver's vigilance is achieved throughout the entire period of vehicle movement.
