FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image encoding device comprises an internal prediction unit for performing intra-frame prediction procedure for each unit, which is single element for encoding unit prediction to generate a prediction image, when encoding mode corresponding to one of encoding units, on which input image is divided, is internal encoding mode, while performing an averaging prediction, internal prediction unit performs a filtering procedure on the target internal prediction pixel located at the upper edge or on the left edge of the block that is a unit for predicting the encoding block, wherein the filtering procedure uses an intermediate prediction value, which is unit adjacent pixels average value and, at least, one adjacent pixel of target pixel.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of image quality by reducing locally emerging prediction errors.
