SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for installing an application. Control instruction is sent to the intelligent device through the communication connection, wherein the control instruction comprises an application identifier of an application, and the control instruction is used for instructing the intelligent device to acquire and install the application according to the application identifier of the application. Application store identifier is obtained where the application store is installed in the smart device and the application store is configured to provide an installation package for the smart device for downloading the said application. Control command is sent to the intelligent device by the communication connection, where the control command contains the application identifier of the application and the application store identifier, and the control command is configured to instruct the smart device to call the application store according to the application store identifier, search in the application store to obtain the application in accordance with the application's application ID and install the application.
