FIELD: cooling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cooling systems of locomotives, namely to a removable cooling unit, and can be used to cool down of diesel locomotive aggregates and systems. Unit contains cooling radiators (2), fan unit (1), connection pipes (3) and inlet louvred grilles (4) for cooling air intake. Unit is made in the form of a locomotive roof removable section, which has a framed body (5) with inclined upper parts, as well as lower (8, 9), upper (10) and end (14) closures. Fan unit (1) is located in the central part of the framed body (5), input louvered grilles (4) are located on the frame body (5) inclined upper parts on both sides of the roof section, and the cooling radiators (2) are located in the frame body (5) opposite the input louvered grilles (5).

EFFECT: reduction in the body space volume occupied by the cooling unit is achieved, with a simultaneous increase in the heat removal efficiency, reduction in fan drive energy consumption, simplification of operation and provision of the possibility of aggregate repair.
