FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the mining industry, namely to the centrifugal separation of mixtures during the process of enrichment of concentrates of alluvial deposits, crushed material of gold ores, platinum and other heavy minerals. Method of centrifugal separation of mixtures includes feeding the suspension into a truncated cone-shaped bowl, rotating around its axis, exposing the suspension to an alternating centrifugal field, and removing the products of separation. Suspension is exposed to the alternating centrifugal field in the plane inclined to the axis of the bowl by the angle of nutation of the precessional rotation of the bowl. Nutation angle is set higher than the bow angle of the cone bowl, the larger base of which is located on the side of the fixed point of precession. By adjusting the parameters of the centrifugal and planetary force fields, the reverse direction of the vector of the resulting longitudinal component of the centrifugal force along the axis of the bowl is set and automated concentrate removal is performed. Method is carried out by means of a separator comprising a bed, a driven carrier, a separating unit with a cup in the shape of a blunted cone, a feeder, collecting casings for removing the separation products, rigidly fixed to the driven precessional rotation drive mechanism, pivotally connected to the frame. Driven mechanism for driving the precessional rotation of the separating unit is made in the form of a hollow tube. Enclosures for removing separation products are made as a single shell body, rigidly connected to the pipe. Hollow tube is designed as a shaft of axial rotation of the bowl with the bearing assembly and supporting bearings of the bowl mounted on it. Feeder is part of the cavity of the pipe that has openings to supply suspended mixture into the bowl from the side of its larger base. Second half of the cavity of the pipe is separated and used as a water channel for supplying water to the sprinkler, located opposite the working zone of the bowl along its entire length.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of extracting the mineral into the concentrate.
