FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically anchoring elements for engagement with a base plate for a collecting bag for human body wastes. Anchoring element comprises: an attachment component having a proximal surface at least partly covered with skin friendly adhesive; a flexible member having a first end extending beyond an outer periphery of the attachment component and a second end attached to the attachment component. Said first end of the flexible member comprises engagement means for engagement with the base plate, wherein said flexible member is flexible mainly in the axial direction defined by the first and second ends.
EFFECT: invention provides an anchoring element which improves attachment of a base plate for a collecting bag for human body wastes by attaching the base plate to the less problematic area of the skin surface.
