FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for parametric reconstruction of audio signals. Encoding system encodes an N-channel audio signal (X), where N≥3, as a single-channel down-mix signal (Y) together with the parameters of dry and wet up-mix (C, P). In the decoding system, the decorrelation section outputs (N-1)-channel decorrelated signal (Z) based on the downmix signal; wherein the dry up-mixing section linearly displays the downmix signal in accordance with dry up-mixing ratio (C), determined on the basis of the parameters of dry up-mixing; wherein the wet-up-mixing section fills the auxiliary matrix and linearly displays the de-correlated signal in accordance with the wet-up-mixing coefficients.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the coding efficiency of the multi-channel audio signal.
